Cindy and Troy {Ballarat Wedding Photographer}

I blogged Cindy and Troy's engagement session earlier this year. Cindy and I met through my children's childcare centre, Cindy having Lily in her room for the last two years. It's always a lovely surprise to see a bride on their wedding day, hair and make-up done and excitement bursting out of every moment, but seeing Cindy I was taken back a little, being so accustomed to seeing her with her Kids Retreat uniform. One thing was unchanged though, her smile. Cindy's smile is so infectious, and likely why all the children in her care love her so much.

Cindy and Troy, like any bride and groom, had visions of a glorious Spring Day for their wedding, unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. You'd think this would upset most brides, but Cindy took it all in her stride, why worry about the weather when ultimately it's all about marrying your soulmate? It was impossible to wipe the smile of their faces throughout the day, the rain did not dampen the mood in the slightest.

Instead of being married in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens as planned (where Troy proposed to Cindy) they were married across the road overlooking Lake Wendouree under a gazeebo. Sure it wasn't to plan, but was still every bit as gorgeous.

After the ceremony the rain held off enough to get some gorgeous photos in the gardens and though the grass was wet beneath our feet and the men warmed the ladies with their jackets it all made for some fun memories.

Because of the era of the Bridal car Troy had joked with Cindy about doing a 'joke' photo with his best man, with 50's gangster overtones... despite telling Troy to forget the idea she went on a hunt to make the photos happen and surprised him on the day with the hats and FAKE guns. This act of detail spoke volumes of just how well these two connect with each other, they take note of the little things and strive to surprise and take joy in each other, always aiming to please the other.

It's all about the little things, making the small things matter. I know both Cindy and Troy have an amazing future ahead and I'm so happy I was able to capture their day for them.

Congratulations to you both.

Enjoy.
