Tim and Corinne 07/08/09

I don't know where to begin, Tim and Corinne's wedding was absolutely stunning. Organised all the way from Hong Kong where they currently live and work with the help of the venue Poets Lane ( ) in the Dandenongs, a venue I would highly recommend, if for nothing else than their seemless organisation and simplicity of the day, not to mention the stunning surrounds; the day couldn't have turned out more perfect for both of them.
It's a gamble holding a wedding in the midst of winter, but while the day was cold, and the rain came and went the mood was full of warmth. It was a small wedding with 72 guests that made for a very intimate ceremony. The day was very much about family and friends, love and laughter. I found it extremely difficult to select only a few images, so I have included a selection of my favourites from the day.

All of these images were taken as part of a shoot for (Why not check it out and come along for a day of fabulous girly fun, make up and dress ups?) It's clear to see that Maria came up a treat, looking every part the Hollywood Glamor pin up!

These twin boys are a full of energy, as all little boys are, and had so much fun running around all over the playground. Why photograph children in a studio? They are far more comfortable and happy in their own environment, exploring, playing, and being exactly who they are.

I have business cards!

Finally! Now I can actually hand something to people who are enquiring instead of scribbling down addresses and phone numbers on scrap peices of paper... much better.

As part of the package I offer, a viewing or proof album is included. (I can create a traditional style album at an extra charge). Above and below is an example of a viewing album from Nick and Vanda's wedding.

Nick and Vanda - 2nd of May 2009

Nick and Vanda had a beautiful May day for their wedding. May brings some beautiful light in the afternoons, but remember at this time of year that the sun hides very quickly as the days get shorter. Having a few locations up my sleeve with only a limited time to photograph while the light faded quickly was definitely an advantage.

Vanda designed her wedding dress, which was a stunning, simply delicate and stylish gown. The flower detail was a gorgeous touch that she used for the bridesmaid gowns as well, to tie them all in together.

Nick and Vanda chose to have their reception at ACCA (Australian Centre for Contemporary Art). It's a stunning modern building, and a venue I never would have thought of for a reception. It was a beautiful cocktail reception where everyone let their har down. I thought a great personal touch was photographs of Nick and Vanda's decade long relationship replaying on the screen above the bar. Definitely a unique idea while guests were enjoying the evening.
