I brought children into this dark world because it needed the light that only a child can bring. {Melbourne Newborn Photography}

There is not much I could love more than a newborn session, however, a newborn session that follows a maternity session would have to be one of them.

I really enjoy maternity sessions, chatting with the parents and the mum-to-be (a definition I'm not particularly fond of, because I believe you're a mother from conception, but that's another story).

Meeting Jada, we chatted of her 15 month old daughter and the whole world of change that was about to befall her, and whether they'd found out the sex of the baby (they hadn't). I do so love when it's a surprise.

Not too long after her maternity session I was messaged that their baby boy had been born, and after a little bit of to and fro we scheduled the session.

It wasn't the hardest session I'd done, but he certainly made me work for it, and his big sister was so full of beans it was not too unlike my own children at similar ages.

Baby Michael eventually settled, and I'm so glad he did, he was a sweet little guy and was simply precious to capture.

Enjoy. xx
